I love open source. I’m a huge fan of the LAMP platform, and specifically Debian Linux. I’ve recently been spending a lot of time with WordPress, and have started my own blog hosting sites based on WordPress MU (WPMU). A recent project has included Magento, which I think is a great commerce platform.

A few interesting things about me:

• I grew up in Kansas, graduated from UC Berkeley, and I now live in San Diego with my wife and two boys
• I started my career at J.D Edwards working on EnterpriseOne (or OneWorld for you old schoolers) for many years and I still love working on performance issues for large Enterprise Requirements Planning systems
• I have been a swimmer for most of my life, and you can still find me swimming laps several days a week
• I’m a car and motorcycle nut
• My handle in WordPress sites is eagano, a nickname that my college friends gave me
